This approach aims to understand their perspective on the role of government, states, and educational institutions in promoting sustainability. It also seeks to evaluate the existing communication and educational strategies within the university concerning the SDGs.</p> <p><strong>Results:</strong> The findings reveal a significant gap in communication and guidance related to the SDGs within the institution and among students. While most students possess a basic understanding of the SDGs, they acknowledge a need for enhanced efforts from governments and educational institutions in sustainability strategies. Furthermore, students advocate for the university to assume a leadership role in integrating sustainability into its methodology, practical exercises, and research activities.</p> <p><strong>Conclusions:</strong> The study concludes that there is an urgent need for improved communication and educational initiatives regarding the SDGs at Unicentro. By fostering a collaborative environment that encourages sustainability practices, higher education institutions can play a pivotal role in achieving the SDGs. The model incorporates the runner's profile—which includes running frequency, duration, and its integration into the individual's lifestyle—as a moderating factor.</p> <p><strong>Findings:</strong> The study reveals a complex interplay between environmental values and consumer habits, which is moderated by the individual running profiles, influencing the purchasing and disposal decisions of running shoes.</p> <p><strong>Practical Implications:</strong> The insights from this study can aid companies in tailoring sustainable practices and products to different segments of runners, thereby enhancing environmental stewardship within the domain of sports consumerism.</p> <p><strong>Originality/Value:</strong> This research contributes to the existing body of knowledge by uniquely integrating consumer environmental values, habits, and individual athletic profiles within the context of purchasing and disposal decisions for sports equipment.</p> </div> </div> </div> Jones Ribeiro Marcelo L. The sample comprised potential consumers of sustainable products, gathered via a survey.</p> <p><strong>Main Results:</strong> The research validated all proposed hypotheses, providing evidence of the necessity level concerning the variables of information, attitude, and sustainable marketing strategies for the realization of sustainable consumption.</p> <p><strong>Relevance/Originality:</strong> Despite an increasing body of research on sustainability, a gap remains in understanding the divergence in the consumption of sustainable products. This investigation stands out as pioneering work in determining the levels of necessity for predictors that are expected to delineate the relationship between attitude, intention, and behavior.</p> <p><strong>Theoretical/Methodological Contributions:</strong> This study enhances the current understanding of the gap between attitude and intention towards the consumption of sustainable products by identifying the necessary conditions for antecedents of sustainable consumption.
